EAN-13 is used for consumer products scanned at retail point of sale. The generator validates length and check digits, but it does not issue or authorize GTIN identifiers.
Batch requirements
- Use GS1-issued identifiers for products entering retail distribution.
- Retain leading zeroes by formatting the spreadsheet column as text.
- Supply 12 digits for automatic check-digit calculation or a valid 13-digit GTIN.
